Assessment of the Social Impact of Participation in HLF-funded projects (Year 2)

June 2009

An extension to the first year’s research, the second phase of the research is based on a larger random stratified sample of 47 case studies to assess the social impact of HLF projects on participants and communities. The study encompasses a telephone survey of project managers, and both primary qualitative and quantitative research with volunteers across the projects. The project methodology for year 2 involves additional longitudinal and thematic research, in addition to building on the survey and case study work undertaken in year 1.

A major study across a random stratified sample of 25 case studies to assess the social impact of HLF projects on participants and communities. The evaluation encompasses a telephone survey of project managers, and primary research with over 150 participants and beneficiaries across the projects. The project methodology draws heavily on BOP’s GSOs work for MLA.
