Amy’s extensive experience ranges across commissioning artists, strategic business planning, fundraising and financial management for cultural organisations in the UK and around the world. She is passionate about supporting the professional development of cultural practitioners, and championing the importance of international networks and collaborative initiatives.
Most recently Amy was Acting Managing Director of Gasworks - a contemporary visual arts organisation in London and hub of Triangle Network, a global arts network with partners in over 40 countries - where she was also Deputy Director from 2008 to 2016. Previous experience includes Executive Director of Highlight Arts, an Edinburgh-based organisation that programmes international events around geo-political issues, and working on the Whitechapel Gallery’s £13m capital development project. She is also on the Board of Trustees of the Poetry Archive.
In 2019 Amy co-authored a chapter in Managing Culture: Reflecting on Exchange in our Global Times in Palgrave Macmillan’s Sociology and the Arts series. She was selected for the EU’s inaugural Global Cultural Leadership programme in 2016, and holds a Master’s Degree in Arts Management from University of Greenwich and an undergraduate degree in History of Art from University of Sussex.
Amy is an Associate Director at BOP, with a background heading up major cultural organisations and complex arts projects. She leads on our cultural placemaking work.
