His past experiences include an analysis of the cultural cluster and contributing to the development of a marketing strategy for the city of Fukuyama, Japan. He led the management process assessment and redesign of a major German orchestra, as part of a complete overhaul of their vision for the future.
Currently he is supporting the value proposition design for a new cultural service for the city of Kingston, Jamaica. He is also providing evaluation assistance on projects in Saudi Arabia, Ireland and the UK, and contributing to a data-focused internal R&D project.
Prior to joining BOP, he completed a postgraduate degree in Cultural Economics and Management at Bocconi University in Milan. His academic research interests included mapping cultural infrastructure and evaluating its contribution towards places’ attractivity and economic success.
Matthias is a researcher with experience in data-driven analysis and mapping of cities and the cultural economy.
