This AHRC funded project examined the potential for a Digital Copyright Exchange based in China and aimed at Chinese businesses. To deliver this project, we were partnering with the UK Copyright Hub, Beijing Foreign Studies University and the AHRC’s Centre for Digital Copyright and IP Research in China.
The intention of such an exchange was to simplify and automate how copyright material is licensed. In doing so, it can support the development of the Chinese creative industries by more easily enabling the monetisation of creative content.
It is hoped that this project was the first step in the development of a China Digital Copyright Exchange.
