Simon advises on venue strategy, operations and development, drawing on a deep understanding of theatre management, capital projects and commercial programming. For BOP, he has recently worked on projects for The Anvil in Basingstoke, Walsall Council, the Treaty Centre in Hounslow, and proposals for a new town centre venue in Basildon. He is also supporting venue development projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Simon’s career includes senior leadership roles at ATG, Hackney Empire, Fairfield Halls and the Shaw Theatre, with responsibilities spanning programming, business planning and cinema development. As Chief Executive of both Hackney Empire and Fairfield Halls, he led major organisational and audience growth strategies. He is currently Director of Empire Theatrical Productions, where he develops commercial theatre projects and provides consultancy across the sector.

He trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in Stage Management and Technical Theatre, and is based in the UK.
