Prior to establishing Achates, Caroline was the Director of PEN International, heading up 145 Centres in 105 countries 4 days a week, whilst advising clients including, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Professor Wangari Maathai.
She also led the successful £70m campaign for the Darwin Centre at the Natural History Museum.
Caroline is the Chair of the Achates Philanthropy Foundation and founded the Achates Philanthropy Prize.
Caroline is the Director of Achates, the cultural sector strategy and fundraising consultancy she founded in 2014. Since its creation, Achates has worked with more than 500 arts organisations helping them to build their resilience with integrity.
