Evaluation of The National Lottery Heritage Fund ‘Inspiring People to Grow’ Project

  • LinkedIn

The “Inspiring People to Grow” project at RHS Garden Wisley used a £4 million National Lottery Heritage Fund grant to expand access to horticulture and science. The creation of RHS Hilltop, restoration of the Old Laboratory, and expanded school and community programmes positioned Wisley as a leading hub for gardening science. Evaluation shows the project made RHS Wisley more inclusive and educational—attracting new audiences, strengthening scientific engagement, and conserving vital heritage.
