Laura’s work in a variety of roles across the performing arts, spanning opera, dance, theatre, puppetry and film, gives her unique insight into artistic leadership, collaborative creativity, community cultural engagement and cross-sector partnerships.
Before joining BOP Laura was creative producer for dance company Sweetshop Revolution, heading up operations, fundraising, bid writing and communications. Her research work includes leading on training and artist career development in a multi-stranded enquiry on creative freelancing for Fuel Theatre and the GLA. She has a particular interest in developing new profit models for sustainable growth within arts organisations.
Laura’s former career as an artist saw her perform internationally with organisations including The Royal Ballet, The National Theatre, Barbican, Sadlers Wells, Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Hollywood Bowl, Opera Comique Paris and Salzburg, Bregenz and Edinburgh Festivals. She is currently an Executive MBA candidate at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) with a joint specialism in strategy and innovation.
Laura is a Senior Researcher with over 20 years of experience across the cultural sector as an artist, creative producer and researcher.
