Prior to joining BOP, Yasmeen worked as a Research Assistant at The Centre for Media, Technology and Democracy in Montreal, Quebec supporting the development of the Platform Governance and Climate, AI & Tech Justice research streams.
During her MSc, she was also a Research Fellow for the ACTIVAH research group at University College London (UCL,) where she researched pathways for creative economy development to address local challenges in the Medina of Tunis in partnership with Blue-Fish sustainable heritage consultancy.
She is currently supporting the market assessment research of a performing arts centre in Walsall.
Yasmeen holds a dual BA & BSc degree from McGill University in English Literature and Chemistry and an MSc in Urban Economic Development from UCL.
Yasmeen is an interdisciplinary, mixed methods researcher with a background in economic development, media and technology ethics, and the cultural economy.
