Yasmeen Safaie
Yasmeen Safaie is a multidisciplinary consultant working across our international portfolio projects.

Yasmeen plays a key role in BOP’s work in the MENA region, bringing deep regional insight, cross-cultural fluency, and a strong understanding of cultural and urban development.
She works across our full range of services, with expertise spanning strategic development, research, and evaluation. Bringing methodological rigour, she works closely with our clients to uncover latent needs, challenge assumptions, and turn complex insights into actionable recommendations. Her broad perspective makes her effective at supporting cities, governments and development agencies at every stage of development.
Recent work includes the development of a cultural strategy for a major new development in Saudi Arabia, as well as designing cultural workforce strategies for a major cultural agency in the MENA region. Other clients include UNESCO, Royal Commission for AlUla, and Bloomberg Philanthropies.
Before joining BOP, Yasmeen held a research role at the Centre for Media, Technology & Democracy in Montreal, specialising in policy related to the civic impacts of digital technologies.
She holds an MSc in Urban Economic Development from University College London (UCL) and a joint BA & BSc in Chemistry and English Literature from McGill University.
