Yasmeen is currently delivering an evaluation of the UK Global Screen Fund for the BFI and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and is supporting the consultative process for a new national cultural strategy for the Welsh government. She has quantitative experience working with complex datasets as well qualitative skills conducting interviews and focus groups with key stakeholders.
Prior to working at BOP, Yasmeen worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Media, Technology and Democracy in Montreal, which examines how media and emerging technologies shape democracy in Canada and internationally. She holds a dual BA & BSc degree from McGill University in English Literature and Chemistry and an MSc in Urban Economic Development from UCL. She was previously a dissertation fellow of the ACTIVAH research project at UCL, where she focused her study on the heritage-led craft and wider creative industry development in the Medina of Tunis in partnership with Blue-Fish sustainable heritage consultancy based in Tunisia.
